Hello, my name is Dr. Valentina Taran. My clients usually call me "Dr. Tina."
As a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist, I have served as a clinical educator, taught courses, and carried out research in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Oklahoma State University, University of Central Arkansas, and the University of Memphis. My research explores the connections between oral and written language. Below you will find a list of publications on that research.
The clinical work I do at Iris Speech Solutions helps make the connections between oral and written language evident. As an avid reader, writer, and story enthusiast, one of my greatest joys is igniting a love of books and writing in reluctant readers.
I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology from Christian Brothers University, a masters and doctorate degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Memphis.
